We will be leaving Florida via the coast on Sunday July 4th and will be looking for a great city to spend our first ever Independence day in the United States.

This vote can hold serious consequences. It’s our goal to travel to every State, Province, and Territory in the US and Canada! But, that doesn’t necessarily mean that we will be spending time in all of the States and Provinces we would like to! You can vote us through States, and this week’s vote has the potential to have us drive through two states, never to return.

If you are a fan of us visiting every state and thoroughly exploring them, vote Alabama! Louisiana and Mississippi will be up on future votes.

If you want us to move West as quickly as possible, vote Louisiana (and in the process make us ‘skip’ Alabama and Mississippi).

If you don’t care about Alabama, vote Mississippi.

The gulf coast has had a pretty rough time with the oil spill, as soon as we find out where we are voted to we will be contacting organizations in the area to see if we can lend some hands and help out.

We are so excited about it that we are jumping on our amazing bed at the Mondrian Hotel in Miami! What a perfect place to be celebrating DAY 100!

Thank you to everyone who has become a part of the alexandluke.com social media adventure experiment. Wishing we could be celebrating tonight with every single person that has influenced or affected the trip so far, but maybe thats a goal to set for Day 200!!!

When we brought Burt Reynolds in to Oakville Volkswagen for a pre-road trip service in March of this year, the stickers that covered the car doors and Thule peaked the interest of the servicemen, salesmen, and even the owners of the dealership. You may remember that after hearing our story they installed a new set of tires onto Burt, pledged to have an Oakville VW sticker put on our side door, and they let us know that they would be looking out for us while we were on the road.

We’ve traveled a long way since that day and when we found ouselves in Virginia Beach we needed an oil change. True to their word, @oakville_vw took care of the rest! They found the closest dealership to where we were staying, organized an appointment for us, and purchased Burt Reynolds a re-fill of premium oil.

It’s the kind of normally unpublicized generosity that we are still not used to, and we can’t thank Oakville Volkswagen enough for their continued support of alexandluke.com while we are on the road.

The Keys
The furthest south we will ever travel.
The only region we will be travelling to that recently tried to separate from the USA.
The only region we will be travelling to that will have the beach boys soundtracking it.

The Everglades
The most alligator infested area we will travel to.
The sub-tropical wetlands house pythons that eat alligators and alligators that eat pythons.
The footage of wildlife will be amazing (cypress, mangroves, animals)

Orlando
The disney characters you know and love will be all around us.
The variety of theme parks will sure to make for some interesting video.
The song it’s a small world will be stuck in our heads for the next 10-15 days.
