We’ve been wanting to create this video since we ended our road-trip in December. This is the order in which we visited every State, Province, and Territory in Canada and the United States as controlled by YOU, the followers of alexandluke.com.

When we were in Virginia Beach a few weeks back the Virginia Beach CVB and a great company called Surf And Adventure hooked us up with some kayaking through a wildlife refuge and surf lessons at Sandbridge Beach. Our instructors were awesome guys, and it was a perfect day and a perfect spot to be enjoying some water sports. Unfortunately our video footage of kayaking didn’t really turn out – so we only have the surfing to show you. I loved our teacher – Nick Brown. He was the quintessential surf instructor – watch above to see what I mean!
More on this later (we got some great video footage), but for now, lets just say days like today we are reminded why our choice to live out of a car for 8 months is worth it. We want to extend a big thanks to the awesome guys at Surf & Adventure!

The next directional vote on alexandluke.com is our first ever double state vote. We have teamed up Ohio and West Virginia to see if they have what it takes to take down Virginia and North Carolina.
There are three reasons we are doing a double-state vote:
1) We have to drive or fly home to Toronto on Thursday May 27th for Alex’s Brother’s wedding. This is the only time on the entire trip that we will not be travelling based on suggestions. If Ohio and West Virginia win, we will drive back to Toronto. If Virginia and North Carolina win we will be flying back to Toronto and will need to book our flight sooner rather than later so we have money to eat on Month 6 of alexandluke.com
2) We have been running a lot of directional votes recently, which may make it seem like voting isn’t that important! It is important, we need you to vote! By grouping states together, your votes will push us farther across the continent making the penalties of a State losing a vote more severe.
