The Order

We’ve been wanting to create this video since we ended our road-trip in December. This is the order in which we visited every State, Province, and Territory in Canada and the United States as controlled by YOU, the followers of alexandluke.com.

Enjoy,
alex and luke.

PS: The First Band/Person to create a YouTube video of them covering the song used in this video gets an alexandluke.com prize.

Life In A Day

Posted on July 29th, 2010 in Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, YouTube by luke

Life In A Day was a historic global experiment to create a user-generated feature film, shot in a single day, by the community behind YouTube. On July 24th, we had 24 hours to capture a glimpse of our life on camera. The most compelling and distinctive footage will be edited into an experimental documentary film, produced by Ridley Scott and directed by Kevin Macdonald (although we aren’t sure if our footage falls into that category).

We documented our Day, from waking up in Tulsa Oklahoma, driving to Arkansas, driving through Missouri, before eventually ending up in Kansas City, Kansas and finally in Lawrence Kansas.

It was an uncharacteristically busy day of traveling for us, and a fun day to record!

The editor behind the movie requested people to submit unedited raw footage so they could pick and choose what they like. Due to this we have over 25 minutes of unedited raw footage that we submitted to the Life In A Day experiment. Some of you have found it on your own already, but if those of you who haven’t found it are at all interested in watching over 25 minutes of us driving, bickering, talking, and driving some more, we have put it below for you.

Warning: It’s not terribly exciting.

35 Votes Will Determine Our Next Destination

Posted on July 23rd, 2010 in Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, vote by luke

Oklahama is the 35th region that we have visited on our roadtrip through every state, province, and territory in Canada and the United States.

To celebrate, the next region to have 35 people vote for it will be the region that we travel to later today. We are in a Whole Foods in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Colorado

The closest city major city in Colorado is 670 miles away from the soup stand we are sitting beside. If Colorado wins we will fill our car up with gas, and start driving the very long drive.

Kansas

If Kansas wins, we can drive to Wichita, Topeka, Kansas City, or Salina and maybe even make it in time for dinner! (depending on where you want us to go) We will make a detour into Siloam Sprins Arkansas before we leave! As, if we don’t go to Arkansas now, we will most likely never return.

Missouri

If Missouri wins we will drive through Arkansas (for the same reasons mentioned above) and head to either Kansas City, MO or St Louis, MO! We are at your mercy.

Arkansas

This is Arkansas’ last chance to be thoroughly explored by us on our trip. If it doesn’t win this time, and Colorado or Missouri do… we will simply be driving through. Leaving Little Rock a mystery forever!

Vote now, there is no Twitter vote today, just use the poll below to make your choice:
