The Order

We’ve been wanting to create this video since we ended our road-trip in December. This is the order in which we visited every State, Province, and Territory in Canada and the United States as controlled by YOU, the followers of

alex and luke.

PS: The First Band/Person to create a YouTube video of them covering the song used in this video gets an prize.

Cleveland Rocks

Posted on June 6th, 2010 in favourites,Ohio,Twitter,YouTube by alex

When we tweeted at the Cleveland Indians as we were approaching Ohio, we really didn’t expect we would hear back from them. But sure enough, within a matter of hours we were tweeting back and forth, arranging for which day to catch a ball game, AND not only that – they signed us up for seating on the Tribe Social Deck.

The Tribe Social Deck is the Cleveland Indians very innovative way of making a big social media push for their team and its brand. It is a literal wood deck that looks out over left field and is outfitted with roomy seating for 9, outlets for laptops, free wifi and a flat screen tv! Essentially, it’s everything a savvy blogger could want or need when taking in a ball game and tweeting about it all at the same time. It was perfect for us, and we were thrilled to be a part of it. I could continue describing our excitement about all of this, or you could just watch the video.

one day, one state, two cities, two suggestions, two restaurants

Posted on June 5th, 2010 in Ohio,Suggestions,YouTube by alex

We love it when stuff like this happens. We woke up in Columbus Ohio to find that a valet had seen our car and left a note on our windshield offering suggestions for things to do around the city. Later that day we met Joe at a radio station in Kent Ohio and he had some suggestions for us around Cleveland. Find out what these two suggestions had in common!

Almost everyone had the same suggestion when we were nearing Ohio… that we visit Cedar Point – the amazing amusement park on Lake Erie that has more roller coasters than any other park in the world. Luke was happy to take this suggestion. Alex was a little more hesitant… but we ended up in contact with them through Twitter, and before we knew it they were hosting us at this spectacular park and we had a great time! Check out which monster coasters we tackled… SO SCARY!

The Big Vote – OHWV vs. VANC

Posted on May 19th, 2010 in North Carolina,Ohio,Virginia, vote,West Virginia,YouTube by luke

The next directional vote on is our first ever double state vote. We have teamed up Ohio and West Virginia to see if they have what it takes to take down Virginia and North Carolina.

There are three reasons we are doing a double-state vote:
1) We have to drive or fly home to Toronto on Thursday May 27th for Alex’s Brother’s wedding. This is the only time on the entire trip that we will not be travelling based on suggestions. If Ohio and West Virginia win, we will drive back to Toronto. If Virginia and North Carolina win we will be flying back to Toronto and will need to book our flight sooner rather than later so we have money to eat on Month 6 of

2) We have been running a lot of directional votes recently, which may make it seem like voting isn’t that important! It is important, we need you to vote! By grouping states together, your votes will push us farther across the continent making the penalties of a State losing a vote more severe.

3) Ohio and West Virginia straight up hate Virginia and North Carolina

Vote now, on the poll in the righthand sidebar! Or, on Twitter using these hashtags:

We usually enter everyone who votes on Twitter into a contest to win a great prize, this week is no different. We understand that some of the people who come to our website don’t use Twitter, if you fall into this demographic let us know in the comments below and we will enter you into the contest as well!

VOTE CLOSES 12:00pm EDT Thursday, May 20th

Also, why not tell your friends and family to vote on our direction! They will love it!
