Pledge
While we are not looking to make an end profit, your pledges will allow us to experience more of North America than would be possible if we only put our own funds towards what we see and do. The more help we get from our followers, both through suggestions, and financial assistance, the more we will be able to do, which means better content, and more awareness of the alexandluke.com experiment.
It is our hope that through our exploration of the power of social media, we will be able to find ways to give back to various causes. So, when you pledge to alexandluke, 25% of all proceeds will go directly to charity. This aspect of the project is very important to us. To learn more, see our charity page.
We would also like you to be aware that absolutely no pledge money will go towards alcohol, cigarettes, drugs of any kind, pornography, gambling, or illicit material or activities (and we will not engage in any illegal activity with or without pledge funds backing it throughout the trip).
We will also be putting any excess funds not needed for daily operational costs towards developments that will better the alexandluke.com project. For example, we would ideally like to do whatever we can to reduce our carbon footprint, so ecological improvements to our car, eating fresh local food, and planting trees wherever we go would be the sorts of things we would put such excess funds towards.

We will send you a postcard from the state, province, or territory of your choice (or somewhere of our choice if you prefer). Your postcard will be hand written by Alex and Luke and we will personalize the front of it just for you! TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY of these pledges will be available. |
