The Order

We’ve been wanting to create this video since we ended our road-trip in December. This is the order in which we visited every State, Province, and Territory in Canada and the United States as controlled by YOU, the followers of alexandluke.com.

Enjoy,
alex and luke.

PS: The First Band/Person to create a YouTube video of them covering the song used in this video gets an alexandluke.com prize.

Tremblant 24h

Posted on December 9th, 2010 in Quebec,Tremblant 24h,VW by luke

This weekend we’re going to be at Mont Tremblant in the province of Quebec attending Tremblant 24h. It’s a 24 hour skiing marathon, it’s a fundraiser for charity, it’s live music, and it’s an amazing time.

When you drive a VW Rabbit through every Province, State, and Territory in Canada and the United States* the people at VW take notice of you and invite you to fun events that they put on. So big thanks to VW Canada for inviting us to come hang out at one of my (Luke) favourite places in North America, providing the gas necessary for us to make the drive, the beds necessary for us to sleep at night, and the food necessary to sustain ourselves through such an action packed weekend.

This is the 10th anniversary of Tremblant 24h and over the ten years that the event has been running $6,280,216 has been raised for charity. This year the organizations that the event is supporting are: Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau Foundation, Ottawa Senators Foundation, and the Tremblant Foundation.

If you’re looking for a great cause to donate to before the new year, you can donate to the VW Canada team here.

Can’t wait to share the whole thing with you all on Monday Evening!

Montreal and Quebec

Bonjour Montreal!

Posted on April 1st, 2010 in Quebec by luke

We have entered the land of poutine, the Montreal Canadians, and no right turns on red lights. We will be here for the next 2 nights before putting up another vote and we are excited to explore a city that right from the start is treating us well.

We went out for a great lunch with some really great people from VW Canada who heard about the alexandluke.com project, saw that we were coming to town and wanted to meet us (and Burt)… but now we need ideas of what to do in Montreal. If you have visited this city or live here let us know on our facebook fan page, twitter, or in the comments below and help us decide what we should be doing in this great city.

We are now going to be traveling through cities at a much faster pace than we have been, and this means that the frequency of which we have directional votes will be increasing. If you are a fan of telling us where to go, you are going to be a huge fan of alexandluke.com in the coming weeks.

That said, if you prefer to just watch videos we have some great videos coming up of our stay at the Ottawa Jail Hostel, and a long overdue video of Luke unsuccessfully riding a horse.

Stay tuned,

But more importantly, stay engaged. The only reason we are able to create the content we do is because of your suggestions. If you keep them coming, we will keep the content coming.

A la prochaine,

A&L.
