Its that time again! The Favourite Follower Friday award goes to Christina Lor this week (@skimtheocean) for being the most generous and gracious host of Charleston South Carolina that we could have possibly asked for. Christina first heard about us through twitter when we were in Asheville, and reached out to us when we were Charleston-bound. She suggested an amazing hostel for us to stay in (Notso Hostel on Spring Street), which we will now recommend to anyone heading to Charleston, as it was such a charming place with such a laid back southern feel (plus Charleston hotels are not cheap and Priceline doesn’t work as well in Charleston as in other cities it seems).
Shortly after we settled into our room, Christina came by to pick us up and take us on a tour of her favourite local spots! She introduced us to some amazing people – Hi Greg and Noah! – and we all went around the city together enjoying patio after patio until it was time to head back to the hostel.
One of the guys she introduced us to was Noah Everett (@noaheverett) who is the founder of Twitpic, which was quite pertinent to us from a techy social media experiment perspective, but mostly we just enjoyed his company!
But her generosity didn’t stop there. This morning we woke up to find Christina already tweeting at us offering to swing by again and take us on a tour of the historical part of town AND the beach! So we got to spend all morning with her as well!
Thanks so much for everything Christina. We won’t soon forget our time in Charleston because of you. We certainly can say we experienced that southern hospitality thing first hand!

We are currently landlocked in North Carolina. We have visited every state surrounding us except for South Carolina and as a result will be traveling south towards South Carolina tonight. We have spent many an hour looking over maps trying to figure out how to put the control into your hands as soon as we cross the border, we have come up with: The Five Days of Voting
We are going to be running City vs. City votes for the next 5 days.
For the next 5 days at around 6:00pm EDT we will be putting up a new city vs. city vote.
For the next 5 days at 12:00pm EDT we will look at which city is winning and then drive there!!!
